Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Candy Conversations
Colors: Bashful Blue, Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Concord Crush
Big Shot: Adorning Accents Embossing Folder (Hearts), Tasteful Trim XL die
Accessories: Wisteria Wonder Baker’s Twine, Sponge, Brayer

Cardstock Dimensions:

Wisteria Wonder: 4-1/4″ X 8-1/2″, 4-1/4″ X 2-1/4″
Whisper White: 4″ X 5-1/4″, 3-1/4″ X 1-3/4″
Pink Pirouette: 4′ X 2″, 5-1/4″ X 1-1/2″ strip for cutting out scallop trim

Project Hints:

Ink the Candy Conversations stamp using the markers.
Huff on the stamp and then apply it to the CS.
Layer as shown.
To create the bottom border, place the large white cardstock in the hearts embossing folder and run through the Big Shot.
Ink up the brayer and lightly run the brayer over the hearts.
Cut and sponge the scallop border using pink pirouette
Finish the card as shown.

New Feature: Tuesday’s Tip

I thought it was about time that I get to posting on a regular basis, so, I’d like to introduce a new weekly feature, “Tuesday’s Tip”! Each week I’ll do my best to share a simple tip to make your stamping and scrapping a little easier. Be sure to let me know what you think!

This week’s tip is for how to fix those little white spots where the ink doesn’t quite cover your stamped image. In order to fill in that spot, just take a blender pen, dip it on the ink pad, and blend the ink into the white spot. It’s a snap to fix your image and no one will ever know!!!

A New Year and New Classes!

Happy New Year Everyone! By now, my guess is that the daily routine has started again. Hopefully it includes some stamping time for you! If not, why not make that your New Year’s Resolution for yourself…time to stamp, scrap and relax! Anyway, with a New Year comes new classes. I’ve added some fun things to my events schedule. Another Use for the Medallion

Why not make a wreath with the Medallion stamp?

Simply stamp. Add some holly using the glimmer paper. Stamp your saying. Punch it out with the Scallop punch. Sponge a little. And, place it in the center. Add a bow and you’ve got a quick card!

Another Simple Christmas Card

I love the combination of cherry cobbler, night of navy, and white! By using the clear stamps and placing the J and the Y at the correct interval so that I can just stamp them and then add the navy snowman, this card was really quick! To add the embossing lines, I used the new Simply Scored.

This is an easy, yet just detailed-enough Christmas card that really takes very little time to create. In fact, done in mass production, time needed to make it would be of a minimum. I love this Frostwood Lodge paper and will really miss it when it’s gone at the end of this month.

Making That Perfect Envelope for a 4-3/8″ X 4-3/8″ Card

Here’s a simple Christmas card idea! Because the card size is 4-3/8″ X 4-3/8″, I also cut down an envelope to make just the right size covering.

To create the envelope:

Seal the envelope.
Turn the envelope so that the narrow side is up and cut off about 1/3.
Decorate this section of the envelope.
Run the bottom section of the envelope through a crimper so that it’s slightly smaller than the top.

Holiday Treat Holder

Here’s a fun, very simple project that’s fun to give to friends.

Stamps: From Santa, p. 43 Holiday Mini Catalog
It’s a Wrap Holidays, p. 14 Holiday Mini Catalog
Big Shot Dies: Top note
Colors: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler (ink)
Accessories: Simply Scored, Dimensionals, Cherry Cobbler dotted ribbon, white grosgrain ribbon, Hershey’s nuggets, mailing labels, sticky strip, 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch

Cut out top note from night of navy cardstock.
Place the center point of the top note at 3″ on the simply scored. Score at the 3-1/4″ and 2-3/4″ marks.
Fold on the score lines.
Stamp and punch out the From Santa.
Add dazzling details and set aside to dry.

Stamp your labels and add to the candies.
Insert the candies by using sticky strip to hold.
Wrap and adhere your Cherry Cobble ribbon around the outside of the holder.
When dry, add your stamped image using dimensionals.
Tie with the white grosgrain.

You can use this for any occasion. That’s what’s so great about the It’s a Wrap Holidays AND the It’s a Wrap Occasions in the big catalog. Another set that would be perfect to use on the front would be Gift Givers set on p. 39 of the Mini Catalog. It has all the holidays and it coordinates with the punches!

Keeping it Simple with Background Stamps

I love having a card style handy that I can stamp in less than five minutes and today I’m sharing two of those with you. The first is definitely an eye-catcher in my opinion and can be used for just about any occasion.

Accessories: Wisteria Wonder 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon
Project Tips:
The only thing that may be slightly hidden on this project is that behind the punched lace border, I have added 1-inch punched circles of wisteria wonder for contrast.This second card could be used on multiple occasions as well, just swap out the saying. I just love the large sunflower stamp. To get the colors, I markered the image.

Project Tips:
Be sure you crumple and tear your paper after you’ve stamped it for the best effect. When finished, sponge around the edges and even a little on top with chocolate chip ink.
