Big Shot Matchbox with Gift Cards

21 May

This cute little box was created using the new Matchbox Bigz XL Die.  The die also created the tag on top.  I used the coordinating stamp set, Matchbox Messages for the stamped image.  This die is a great way to make little boxes very quickly.

When you open up the box, you’ll find 4 little gift enclosure cards also created with the die and the Matchbox Messages stamp set.

Both the die, ribbon, designer paper, and stamp set can be found in the Occassions Mini catalog.
Stay tuned, more projects featuring this die will be coming!

Envelope Holder

17 May

It’s always fun to use envelopes in new ways.  Here, I’ve cut off the corners of a sealed envelope and decorated it with the new Occassions Mini Catalog set, “Scene it in a Garden.”  I markered the images so that I had different colored outlines, added a little sponging around the outside, a ribbon, some stuffing (Easter grass), and a seed packet.

Fresh-cuts Card

11 May

By request, (Hi, Eileen),  here’s a card made with Stampin’ Up’s Fresh-cut note cards.  If you are not familiar with these cards, the large flower is pre-cut so that you just punch out the petals.  It’s really easy to embellish these by adding some designer paper and finishing with the 5-petal punch.  I’ve attatched the Fresh-cuts notecard to a piece of 4 1/4 X 5 1/2″ CS to make a full-sized card.

Mother Scrapbook Page

10 May

I was trying to design an elegant page that would be appropriate for Mother’s Day.  This is what I came up with.  I used the flower to create a pocket into which the picture or cards would tuck.

What a Baby Shower!

4 May

Look at what my good friend, Carole Rahn created for her daughter-in-law’s baby shower.  (Of course it’s the first grandbaby, who else would do such elaborate work besides a new Grandma!)

Isn’t this just beautiful?  She created the box with her big shot and the scallop envelope.  The mini album for each guest was created using the big shot and the Scallop die.  This project utilizes the retired stamp set, Baby’s Firsts and the set Big Flowers.  She also put the scallop circle punch to good use.   Now check out what she had done with the cake!
