Isn’t this an adorable witch?  Wish I could take the credit for the idea.  I received the idea in a swap at convention this summer from Maria Lema and just added a couple of my own ideas.

Supplies needed:

  • Top Note Die
  • Big Shot
  • Punches:  1 ¼-inch circle, 1-inch circle, small oval, ¼-inch circle, horizontal slot, ¾-inch square
  1. To create the card, fold the 4 1/4″ X 11″ sheet olive CS in half.  Place on the Top Note die so that the crease is slightly below the cut line.  Place on the Big Shot as follows:  clear cutting mat, die, CS, clear cutting mat.
  2. To create the hair, place 2 pieces of 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ only orange CS on the same Top Note die and run through the Big Shot.  Note: you can cut both orange pieces at one time.
  3. Cut one of the pieces in half lengthwise with your scissors and cut the ends of each half to make the long hair.  Cut the bangs out of the other half top note.
  4. Place inside the card as shown.  P1016816
  5. To create the hat,cut out a typical witches hat.
  6. To make the buckle,  punch 2 parallel slots on a scrap of summer sun and then punch around the slots with the ¾-inch square. run a strip of lovely lilac through the buckle and attach to the hat. Place a 4 1/4″ X 1″ black strip on top of the bangs for the hat brim.
  7. Cut two 1-1/4″ white eyes, two 1-1/4″ olive eyes, and two 1-inch black eyes with your punches.
  8. For the nose, you’ll need a small olive oval and 1/4″ circle punched.
  9. Be sure to sponge the face and the face pieces.
  10. Add a mouth and some white for the eyes and voila!
  11. I used the saying from the set Smarty Pants for the inside.P1016817
