Faux Tiling with Corner Garden

25 May

Today on SSInkspiration, the designers are featuring some more retiring product projects.  I thought I’d combine my contribution with the Faux Tiling Technique.    This card is featuring a number of products that will be leaving including…

*Corner Garden Stamp  #134048
*Simply Scored Diagonal  Plate  # 125586
*Note Tag Punch #135860

*NOTE:  Don’t wait to order these items as time is running out!!!!

Faux Tiling Directions:
Stamp the Corner Garden flowers with the black pad.

  1. Using the diagonal score plate, score along the top and down the
    side at 0, 2″, and 4″.
  2. Rotate 90 degrees and repeat the scoring.
  3. To create a template for sponging, use the same size piece of CS and repeat the scoring lines.  Next cut out a section so that you can place it in the bottom corners on your stamped, scored card front and sponge.
  4. To create the tag, you will pull the CS through the punch so that it only punches the top.

Words of Truth Retiring

11 May

I’m going to miss this particular word stamp set a bunch!   Words of Truth has been the perfect set to use with my teenagers!  Below is my latest sample, but fortunately only the Words of Truth set is retiring and not the Project Life Memories in the Making set as well.

To add a little extra to the card, I cut out the inside of the circle lines and slipped it over the word bar.  Otherwise, this is straight-forward stamping!  To check out other retiring item samples, be sure to visit the SSINKspiration blog today.  Be sure to click below to order your Words of Truth set before it’s gone!

Birthday Gift Card Holder

3 May

Today, I’m showing a gift card holder that couldn’t be any easier!  It uses the Envelope Liner Framelits.  The only bad news is that all the supplies I used are retiring, so don’t wait to order them!

All I did was to fold a piece of 4 X 9″ designer series paper in half and place the framelit so that the fold was just inside the bottom edge and cut out the envelope.  I did snip off the tab because I wanted more of the balloons to show rather than the taupe reverse side, but that was about it!  I recommend using the tear tape to seal.  Decorate as desired and that’s it!
